Lyn and I both woke up around 7:30. We decided to take one more bike ride around the pond. It was really neat to go all the way around and see all the critters living along the water. We've never seen so many turtles and fish in one spot before. When we returned from our ride, the four of us started getting the campers packed for the ride home. The weather was great the whole time we were there. One of the best spots we've been to ever. We are planning on coming back again very soon !!!!

I made breakfast outside on the grill. Eggs and sausage, what a treat. Once everybody was ready for the day we headed for the Van Horn Mansion in Newfane. We found it right away and parked in the lot next door. It didn't look like it was very busy there except for some kids practicing instruments on the front porch. Lyn tried the door and it opened, so we walked right in. We were only there a few minutes when we were approached by an older couple. They wanted to know who we were any why we were there. They informed us that the mansion is only open on Sundays and that we tripped the security alarm !!! We told them that the door was unlocked so we assumed that it was opened for business. The couple understood and told us that this has happened before. They were gracious enough to let us finish our look around even though we didn't stay long. From there we went to a place called Gordie Harper's Bazaar. It was part restaurant part consignment shop.
Lots of interesting stuff inside. Lyn bought some baked goods. We headed back for camp and noticed the clouds towards home getting very ominous. I called Mom and she said it was very dark there and ready to rain at any minute. Lyn called Wes and asked him to check on the house. Everything was in order and he closed all the windows for us. We later heard on the news that a bad storm had gone through our neighborhood causing trees to come down and roads to flood. During our campfire we made S'more's and popcorn in our campfire popcorn popper.
