In last spring, I did camping at Durham. This is a very beautiful places. I went to there with my husband and little kids after meeting my uncle who was stationed at Portsmouth Shipyard Navy Base of New Hampshire . Durham is a small town but its people are very loving and caring. I am planning to conduct camping there in this summer again. ...

  • Spirit Mountain RV Park

    Mohave ValleyARIZONA , US

Spirit Mountain for Mojave Valley Raceway accommodations. We usually stay at Big Bend of the Colorado River (in Nevada) camp during our IMCA Mods, Super Stock, Mini Sport Car, Street Stocks, Mini Stock, and Arizona Dwarf Cars fall racing excursion to Mojave Valley Raceway, over there in Arizona's Mojave Valley. However, Pappy fell ill, so to Spirit Mountain RV Park we went, 3.4 miles from MVR races. It is very clean. And good people. Spirit Mountain Casino had just reopened, and Spirit Mountain was open too. "All life began on Spirit Mountain," Pappy said. I agreed. Mojave Also...

Emma Wood Campground for Ventura Raceway accommodations. We always stay at Emma Wood State Beach Campground during our Senior Sprints, Dwarf Cars, Hobby Stocks, Focus Midgets, Sport Compacts, and Mod Lites fall racing excursion to Ventura Raceway, over at Ventura County Fairgrounds, California. So peaceful and quiet at Emma Wood Campground, after a long day at our VRA races. Always good folks there too. See the Pacific Ocean's old WWII artillery ruins (bath), and relax at The Denkes Fire Pit at night. Come have a cold one with the boys! Garry Denke...

We have camped many years, and this is the first time that we have felt unsafe. There is no security, and there is no one on duty or available after 9 pm. The unit next to us had 4 adults and 2 children. They held a drinking party with people in another unit, outdoors next to our "bedroom" until 10:30 PM. They parked in our space, crammed up next to our unit! Then they all drove somewhere, leaving their children alone, & returned at 1:45 AM, honking horns and blinking headlights until 2:15. They were speaking Spanish which is not one of the 3 languages in the park brochure. The unisex restrooms/showers were unmarked and confusing and very creepy with drunks...

Outdated with sites that aren't level or particularly well cared for. Had to call police at 11pm to break up party at marina below the campground (should have been taken care of by camp hosts). Lake offers many activities, but this campground is not worth staying at....

    West ForkARKANSAS , US

Very nice and scenic state park. Hiking, mountain biking, fishing, swimming (pool) and horse back riding. Sites are level, well spaced, and the facilities are kept clean. Camping Area "E" is along the creek. Rigs over 26 feet in length need to enter the park from Exit 53 off of I-49 (Route 170) due to the twisty roads on the other entrance. Would definitely stay again....

Our second trip to Lake Melvern and first stay at Eisenhower State Park (formerly Melvern State Park). Very nice campground with many good spots that overlook the lake. Widely spaced and clean campground. Good hiking and horse trails. Would stay here again. A solid 3 and maybe a 4 (most parks are over rated on this and other sites)...

The only reason we stayed at this camp ground was because it is 15 minutes from home and we had just picked up our new travel trailer and wanted to get it set up and organized. it surprises us that it could be called KOA... it has no grass to speak of, it is dirty, run down and really needs work. The lots are so close together that my neighbors black water hose was at my front door... oh and on top of that the staff is not very nice. Unless you need to just stop for a night.... steer clear!...
